I must have been living under a rock for the past few months because I only just heard about the Zhu Zhu Hamster this week. If my daughter were still a little girl, I’d be so into this. It’s the kind of toy that even grown-ups can enjoy watching and playing with–and it’s especially comforting to know that it’s a perfect “first pet” that, since it’s not really alive, can’t be accidentally squashed and maimed with too much loving. It’s cute, prompts curiosity, and is just plain fun!

Go ahead and buy–Mr. Squiggles is safe. He passed the federal safety scrutiny today and is ready to squeal a very merry Christmas to all!
